The original colors composed of by the Eameses, mostly under the scrutiny of Ray, were Greige (a portmanteau which hinted at a grey/beige), Elephant Hide Grey and Parchment, which was notoriously translucent. Shortly after, still early in the production, Sea Foam Green was added, along with yellow and red.
